RECESS IS A COMIN'

I'd love to write for hours today
but I've gotta work instead,
Report cards are a waiting
and bringing a sense of dread.


So grade I must - oh yippee-yeah ...
(a sarcastic cheer breaks free),
But Summer beckons in two weeks hence
then recess springs for me.

Having a difficult time letting the body and neurons play
